Muesum of London Docklands
The sea-reach of the Thames stretched before us like the beginning of an interminable waterway.
—Conrad, Heart of Darkness
Optional trip to the Docklands Museum, an offshoot of the Museum of London. Located in an area now turned over to finance, the Docklands Museum commemorates London’s once-great commercial wharves, the center of the world-spanning British Empire.
We will depart at 2pm from the Hereford Arms (at the corner of Harrington Gardens and Goucester Road), with plans to arrive at the museum around 3pm. You can travel with us, or opt to join us there.
